Hi
I play Texas hold’em and I have been rather unlucky with my pre-flop all-ins lately. I have a few examples where I lost and I would like to know the probability for my loss. AKs vs. A7o, he caught a 7 so I lost Here he’s hand is dominated. It is obvious that a 7 will make him win, with 5 cards to come the probability to catch a 7 is 3/48+…+3/44. However it is not enough for him to catch a 7 he should also be sure that I don’t catch a king if he catches a 7. How do I apply this to the probability? KK vs. 66, he caught a 6 and I lost Basically the same question as above, except that the villain has only 2 outs this time. AA against 98s, flopped two pairs so I lost. I know the probability for flopping two pairs; however in this situation you must count out the chance that I catch an ace. Best regards sunek |

The best way is to get a program to evaluate the 1,712,304 board combinations.
www.pokerstove.com equity (%) win (%) / tie (%) Hand 1: 74.8271 % [ 00.73 00.02 ] { AKs } Hand 2: 25.1729 % [ 00.23 00.02 ] { A7o } equity (%) win (%) / tie (%) Hand 1: 80.4922 % [ 00.80 00.00 ] { KK } Hand 2: 19.5078 % [ 00.19 00.00 ] { 66 } equity (%) win (%) / tie (%) Hand 1: 77.9402 % [ 00.78 00.00 ] { AA } Hand 2: 22.0598 % [ 00.22 00.00 ] { 98s } |
