I think turn raise may be a little bit much. But I'm weaktight like that. PF looks iffy getting 12:1.

I'd probably play it the same, cursing at the screen when he three-bets the turn.

Calling then capping the flop means either a monster or a strong draw, but leading the turn usually means he has the monster. I don't like the turn raise at all.

If he had a strong draw on the flop, it was probably A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]X[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. In that case, the turn just paired his ace. You don't expect him to bet again in that case?

Can somebody explain the flop bet rather than a checkraise of the field? My guess is that top two pair is a strong holding, but you'd rather have button raise to face the field with 2 bets cold (and also get to 3-bet) since it is still vulnerable with many callers?

At what point (fewer number of players) would you checkraise the field instead?

Please let me know if i'm way off.

One reason I bet the flop is that I don't want it to check around. The preflop raiser can be relied upon to bet in shorthanded pots, but when six people take the flop, he might take the free card rather than betting into such a large field. This is especially true because people can be capable of raising preflop with some pretty light hands on the button when there is a poster.

It's definitely possible, and I might just be biased because I saw him 3-bet, but I think you're behind here often enough to just call down. Getting reraised would really suck because I couldn't fold this.

If the villian hadn't cranked the flop, I'd think you're good on the turn. But given he liked the flop and led the turn, I'm seriously worried about being behind to trips. Mid-pair trips match his betting pattern, pre-flop limp, post flop maniac. I just call down after his lead on the turn.
