88-89 saab 900s ~~
88-90 acura legend
volvo of some kind???

Chevy or Pontiac. If you do have to fix something they're a lot cheaper than any on your list.

Good God, a Chevy or Pontiac? Awful.

Honda or Toyota, just about any year. I would especially recommend Toyota.

Any 15 year old car is going to be a crap shoot. Buy what you like, hope it lasts 6 months and then be set to buy another.
