Default Oklahoma City Poker

Has anyone been to the Lucky Star poker room near El Reno yet? Did the Newcastle Gaming poker room ever open? Any info on either or how the games are in Norman would be great.

I know you can search Thunderbird and get some information on that room. One of their dealers posts here and hopefully she'll chime in.

One of my buddies lives in Yukon and he hit the Lucky Star. He didn't like the room as much as Thunderbird and the food was better at T'bird. Both places have donkey fish deluxe. Big rake (10% up to $5). For him, Lucky Star is slightly inferior but half as far, so he'll go there. If you're equidistant, go to T'bird.

Thx for the reply Aces. I'm much closer to the LS than Thunderbird. Did he happen to say what limits they are playing? I think all the Oklahoma casinos have that high rake so that doesn't bother me but I prefer 10/20 and was worried in a smaller romm like LS they may not have that limit regularly.

YW.

Sry, we're low-rolled, he was looking for and found 3-6. Does suck to play that with the giant rake, but he has still found it profitable. I'm sure on Fri and Sat you would have no problem finding 10/20, weeknights might be an issue.

i think that is besides the point but i'll answer anyway! one word, MONEY...my little bro lives down there and there are lots of jobs in the IT field so i'm going to give it a shot. my bro also goes to Shreveport once in a while for poker and says the 4/8 game is pretty soft. would be nice to find a closer game though.

The IT field goes through good and bad phases. I cant speak for oklahoma but dallas seems to always have a pretty decent amount of possibilites. You are gonna go through one hell of a culture shock when you move down here, I absolutely love whistler and vancouver but that could just be cause I grew up in texas and am kinda tired of it.
