What about checking the turn? Getting checkraised by the SB here would suck really bad, and it's unlikely that either of them have very many outs at all if you're actually ahead. The nut flush draw is unlikely since you hold two big spades, and there aren't any feasible straight draws possible. This strikes me as a spot where you're unlikely to get called by any worse hands, and very few better hands will go away (maybe AQ if you're lucky?).

I checked and SB turned over Q9o for one-pair queens, so I took the pot down.

And you are thinking of it in the wrong way
Who cares what he had? You think beting 300 in that
spot is the best play because he had Q+worse kicker?

And you're doing this because you expect Q9o to call you, or because you think someone will fold a set of deuces or something?
