High ante

I've just started to play in a $1/$2 game. The ante is 0.25.
Does this mean i should be playing extremely loosely? Generally 70% of player are seeing 4th. This seems high too me. Any advice please, thanks.

The higher ante does call for somewhat looser and more aggressive play, but don't get carried away with it. At this level, the bottom line is that you're going to have to show down the best hand. If you can steal the antes, by all means do so, though. Anyone who's playing 70% of his hands is throwing money away. Don't get married to some pre-determined percentage, but you should probably be around 25%, 20% if the game is aggressive.
