Default professional poker

I had a question to any poker pro's out there who really make a living playing poker .

1- How much is the most you've ever won in a single session
2- What limits are the most profitable?
3- Whats the most you've ever lost in a single session
4- Whats your average wins/hour /100?

I was curious since I play a lot of home poker for buy ins of 5-10 bucks, and I average (almost exactly) 10 dollars profit from each game. We only play no limit holdem and many of the people I play against aren't "dead money." I was wondering if this showed any real strength in my play, since its an average over 56 sessions since I've started playing.(A lot of the people I play against play at the Taj about once a month, and they say that people at casino's are worse than people in our home games)

Winning your home game really means nothing. I'm not trying to sound rude.

You play $5 home games and your asking questions like your wanting to go pro. I don't think I like where this is going.

You'll never know till you get out and play. Take a trip to the Taj. Here's my no offense line...
No Offense but if all you've played is 5 or 10 buyin NL holdem I wouldn't be surprised if you get killed once or twice early on. It happened to me and it's happened to many others but head out and play tight at a game you're comfortable in, take your lumps then study the game diligently and learn to play.

Good luck,
Matt

P.S. these days I pretty much only play limit but the first time I ever sat 1-2 NL at the Taj I won 960 bucks and of course got "I'm a poker god" syndrome. A reality check or two later and I really began to study hard and now I've beaten the hell out of .5-1 and 1-2 SH limit holdem at party and have had success up to 5-10 online as well. I'm finally able to build a roll without having to take out money for dumb stuff (car repairs ect) so I'm doing a nice job moving up lately, hopefully you will too.

Im only 17, so I won't be goin to the Taj anytime soon :-P. I've read (honestly) Super system(no and limit sections, as well as parts of other sections), just finished HOH, Championship no limit/pot limit by cloutier/mcevoy(which provided me little insight), The psychology of poker, Positively 5th street(just for fun-a real time account of the main event), Play poker like the pro's, caro's book of tells, seen the video for caro's tells, Poker the real deal, learn texas holdem for 5 bucks, Small stakes holdem(read it twice), and have seen lederer's video for beginners and the advanced one, I read most of poker night by vorhaus, sat in the bookstore for about a half hour reading caro's part(his tips from MCU) and some of the no limit part of S/s2, all the prolessons from fulltilt, as well as bluff magazine and all in(2 issues of each-are there more? I'm getting a subscription to both shortly)as well as watching basically every single episode of WPT and WSOP. ok, i realize i sound like I'm lieing, or that no one cares about what books i've read or whatever, but it was suggested that I "study", and I think I'm pretty well read. I've read glimpses of theory of poker, TPFAP, and HEPAP, and am reading these forum's quite a bit. I love poker, I believe I play well, and am always trying to learn more, I don't claim to be great but I think I'm doing well and am off to a pretty good start. If anyone has any suggestions on good readings to help my game(i'll be buying s/s2 very soon) or want to criticize me for gambling underage(and beating people twice my age, honestly), go ahead. any feedback is appreciated

thanksss

Has this made you a better player?

Are you really going to go pro after 56 sessions of $5 home games? The $5 and $10 home games I have played in are the ROFLest things ever. Just because some of the guys from your home game play at the Taj doesn't make them good. You don't have to pass a poker test to get into the Taj.
