Why the First page is covered with stickies FAQ

What are some of the reasons there are so many stickies.

- too much affiliate advertising
- advertising 2+2 books
- some people hate the same question bieng asked more then once.

But what if i want to read new posts ??

there actually WAY down in the forum just keep scrolling with your mouse till you get carpel tunnel...then your almost there.

how do i get somone to read my post if it won't stay on the first page??

make it a FAQ and get it stickied

You think this is bad, try the pokertracker forum. Last time I counted, 19 stickies.

PS-If I were Mat, I'd sticky this thread

Most people have more than the default number of posts showing on the first page.(I have 99) Also alot of us use 1600 x 1200 resolution so it's not like the stickies are that big of a deal.
