Default Dealing with downswings

How do you guys handle downswings, etc?

I normally take a little time off, post some hands, take walks, read books (mostly poker but other stuff is good too), play pool with buddies, etc. Changing poker format is fun too: playing 1/2 draw at paradise is fun, or NLHE instead of limit, etc.

I'm feeling a little beat-up right now... I know it'll pass, but it still sucks.

Any other ideas?

Also, I was reflecting on how people tend to get really upset by 2 hours of negative results in live play. If you were to take a metre stick (sorry Americans, but if you can figure out how to divide a yardstick by 100, let me know), they would be about 0.5 millimetres towards being near true results (120k hands = 0.05 percent at 60 hands).

play like 100 hands (3 tables, so it adds up to about 25 minutes) every 30 hours until you have a breakthrough, that's what I do.

masturbate, then take a nap or go do something else for a little while. I have no qualms with not playing for a week if need be.

Tough post to follow, but...

For myself I stick to a limit where I am comfortable enough to keep playing without having to worry that a downswing might put me off my game. I do get annoyed when I find myself down 50 BB or 100 BB from, but just because it means I could have been doing a lot of other things with the time when I was losing and the time it will take just to get back the money I temporarily loaned out. Why, I could have been doing something fun, like, er, masturbating.
