Gambling Theories and Other Topics, then Weighing the Odds.

Then after that, you should read "The Unbearable Lightness of Being" by Milan Kundera. Seriously. It's pretty good.

It's a "philosophical novel" i guess you could call it based on Nietzsche's idea of eternal return (the idea of what the consequences would be if when you died you were forced to relive your life exactly the way it went, over and over again)

That probably sounds pretty harsh, but it's actually a very good book, I swear.

Indeed. FWIW, whenever you hear someone define the idea of the "ubermensch" as just "some really independent incredible awesome human being" or some such, they're not exactly correct - the ubermensch refers to someone who, if they were told that about the idea of eternal return and that they'd have to relive their life with no change over and over again ad infinitum, they'd be happy about the idea (because theyve lived their life so fully).

Needless to say, that's way out of every living human being's league .

/and waaay OT too - sorry

I also suggest....

How to Have a XXX Sex Life : The Ultimate Vivid Guide and How to Make Love Like a Porn Star: A Cautionary Tale ...must haves that truly complete any 2+2ers library. Poker applies to life, but for those other few circumstances these will truly set u on the winning path.

OK, this is my first post here, so I tried to be a good newbie and search for info already posted. I thought this would be a good thread to pose my questions instead of starting another one.

Here is my complete poker library at this point:

Super System
Hold'em Poker for Advanced Players
Tournament Poker for Advanced Players
Theory of Poker
Championship No Limit & Pot Limit Hold 'Em
Small Stakes Hold'em
Winning Low-Limit Hold'em
Internet Texas Hold'em
Caro's Book of Poker Tells
Harrington on Hold'em
Play Poker Like the Pros(i know, i know )

So basically, I'm wondering, what next? Some background, I've only been playing poker for a couple years, I'm just trying to get better and build a bankroll. Play mostly on-line($3/$6 or $5/$10 and $10 or $30 SnGs with some multi-table tourneys mixed in). In my B&M cardroom I play $3/$6 or $4/$8 and I've been winning at those levels lately.

I usually buy books two or three at a time. I think Getting Started in Hold 'em is a must have, I've read the section on NL cash games is worth the price, and I'd like to dabble more in those games. Also, Harrington and Hold'em Vol 2 sounds like a must-have.

So, is there anything else I NEED to get? Anything missing that would improve my game more than re-reading and studying the books I have?

Thanks in advance.

Other Books to Consider:

General Holdem
Holdems Odd Book - Petriv
Improve Your Poker - Ciaffone
Getting Started in Holdem - Miller

Limit Hold'em
Real Poker II - Play of Hands by Roy Cooke
Middle Limit Hold'em - Ciaffone & Brier
Weighing the Odds in Holdem Poker - Yao (haven't read it - but everything I hear is positive)

NL/PL Holdem
NL & PL Poker - Ciaffone & Reuben
How Good is Your Pot Limit Holdem - Reuben

Tournaments
Harrington on Holdem II - Harrington & Robertie
Championship Satellites - McEvoy & Daugherty
Championship Tournament Practice Hands - McEvoy & Cloutier
New Players Guide to NL Holdem - McEvoy & Daugherty

And of course, there are some good books for Stud and Omaha too, if you ever get interested in games besides Holdem.

And the other 2+2 titles are good too.
