Default Hand Reading Exercise

Maybe this is interesting, maybe not?!? Guess the hands...

Reads:
MP1 – loose/weak player; I noticed him fold to late-street aggression at least twice previous to this hand so either he was betting with nothing the whole way or he quite possibly folded the best hand a couple times just because he got raised.

MP3 – typical 2/4 loose/passive; calls too much; doesn’t raise with good hands; maybe throws away the best hand sometimes.

I don’t really remember much about the other players other than there was nothing spectacular to remember.

What he said (plus maybe A9s or 99).

The pot is too big to slowplay here (especially if you have as little as two pair).

If it's either one of those than I think preflop and the flop are not that great. A9s I could see limping. But I'd prefer a raise. 99 I think not raising preflop is pretty bad.

I am probably way off but here we go. MP1-TT/JJ/QQ/Q9/J9(you said he did not raise with good hands preflop), MP3-KQ/KJ, Hero-A5 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] or pocket 5s.

I don't like your play given the range of hands you could have.

If it's A9/A5 I'm raising the flop. If it's a set I'm raising the flop (and if it's 99 I'm raising preflop). If its Ax I want to collect overcalls on the river.

I can't say it any better than that.

Hand reading bad players at a 2/4 PP table is like trying to [censored] a light socket -- painful and hopeless.

MP1 - Ax
Hero - Assuming you played it well, you have 55 and couldn't raise since MP1 was the betor and had tons of playa's behind, finally did on River since by then the pot was large and good chance others liked K. 99 is my second guess, but not raising vs. 2 limpers in MP is iffy.

Other suggested hands are possible but then you played flop wrong (A9s, A5s)

I agree; both A9s and 99 are pre-flop raises (but that doesn't mean he doesn't have them).
