Default a9s in mp

Im relatively new to limit poker, mainly a nl player, so please critisize the xxxx out of me if i misplayed this.

10 handed PP- 3/6
Folded to me in MP I raise with A9s, folded to SB who 3 bets, i call, heads up to the flop.

Flop comes ah 7c 8c , he bets i call. Turn is an offsuit Queen, he bets i call. River is an offsuit 5, he checks, i bet he calls and mucks. Thoughts?

Standard, if I'm not mistaken. If he's weak or bluffing, you don't want to scare him off.
