Default confused by c/r, how to proceed?

both villains loose, not much more read

Party Poker 1/2 Hold'em (10 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is BB with T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
5 folds, MP3 calls, 2 folds, SB completes, Hero raises, MP3 calls, SB calls.

Flop: (6 SB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, MP3 calls, SB raises, Hero calls, MP3 calls.

Turn: (6 BB) 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB bets, Hero calls, MP3 calls.

River: (9 BB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB bets, Hero calls, MP3 folds.

Final Pot: 11 BB

Did I play this too passively? As I played the hand I wished I would've 3-bet the flop. I think I only called because I wanted MP3 to keep putting money in the pot - I think I might be using this excuse too often to justify calling down, what do you think?

Easiest flop 3-bet in the world. Do you know why Maurader? (i expect a response. If you don't give one, Im not reviewing your hands anymore).

well yes, I do have flush draw and tpgk, but even with that, is it more valuable keeping around MP3, since I can't tell if I'm ahead of SB at this point?

I guess argument could be made that I don't want MP3 drawing to an A, or that I want to define SB's hand better by seeing if he caps....

but like I originally posted, as the turn hit, I was already wishing I had 3-bet the flop, I just wanted to make sure my reasoning is okay?

Dont worry about keeping people around, worry about building a pot.

pot equity commands you to re-raise.

If I didn't have the flush draw, then would I only call?

3-bet the flop, get one bet in on each of the later streets if you don't improve.

SB is gonna call a great deal of the time here. Even if he doesn't, you can't give MP3 credit for being ahead of you right now. You have to 3-bet for value and to define MP3's hand.

Did you mean to reverse the names there? If so, you're right. If not, reverse the names, and you're right.
