Preflop: Hero is SB with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. Hero posts a blind of $0.5.

Hero is all in ($88), UTG is all in, SB calls

Turn: ($238) 5 hearts

River: ($238) K spades

SB has 8c 7c (two pair, eights and sevens).
Hero has 9s Ts (flush, king high).
UTG has Ad 7d (one pair, sevens).
Outcome: Hero wins $238.44.

Hand 1: This is tough, I think. You are looking at a flop from an unraised pre-flop pot. Any holdings from the opposition are possible, KT not withstanding. You bet (why not just put the pot bet in?) and got the information you wanted. I don't think MP will let you see the river card for cheap if the turn misses your boat (which I think you need at this point). Got to fold

Hand 2: Basically no different than a OESFD. If you want to get it all-in, here, do it! Great odds to hit and good fold odds. Push it in.

No, because you'll often be a dog on the turn and unable (incorrect) to call a large bet, OR you'll hit and not get paid off by a spooked overpair.

Best to put the money in when your advantage is concealed.
