Default Blind Structure starting Short Handed

Me and my two housemates are starting to play poker with just the three of us and were wondering what starting blinds should be. We have been starting with 50 chips, 1-2 blinds. I think we should up the number of starting chips maybe to 100 for those blinds. I looked at the National Heads-Up Poker Championship page (since that's the closest I could find to starting with only 3 players) and by their blinds structure, even if we started with 100, the blinds would be .5-1. Could anyone make a recommendation?

With $1/2 blinds, I'd make this T250 in chips to start- this is a tourney, right?

You're going to get hit with a lot of blinds quickly, should have a cushion.
