Question about the 2001FP's

Are they DVI connections on them or VGA?

Ok here is my question. Is it better to have a dual DVI card or does it really make a difference? Right now I am using a radeon 9700 card with DVI and VGA. I wouldnt mind an upgrade to a 256 card as this is only a 128. What do you think?

I my 2 2001s are connected through one each (dvi/vga) and I don't notice any difference at all. FWIW, I've never really tried to look for one, but for what I use them for I don't notice a thing.

Depends what you use it for.

Mine is attached to a Dell D600 laptop which only has VGA. I couldn't be happier with the quality of the screen so . . . .

If I had your set-up (and bought a second 2001fp) I'm sure I'd be happy with one on VGA and one on DVI . . . but I only use it for Poker, e-mails, Internet and Microsoft office stuff . . . no video games.

If you are into video games and it's not an expensive upgrade then I'd go for it.

running them both digitaly is best. However one analog and one digital likely won't be a huge difference to you. The panels use an analgo to digital converter that does a fairly good job though I have noticed slight color variances. Personaly I haven't found a panel yet that doesn't have some sort of difference if it supports both.

The ram doesn't make a bit of difference for poker. You need about 16MB per panel and that's it. Note this is higher than it use to be because most graphics systems use a full 32 bits even though color systems normally use only 24bit color.

i have 2 connected, 1 vga 1 dvi. you can DEFINITELY tell the difference if you are looking for it. no biggie though.
