Default Easy call?

I faced this situation, getting late in the tourney. Does this just look like a pushy BB playing back on any flop, after calling? I've got two overs and hit a flush draw, with only 9K of my 36K in the pot... call or fold to live again? Anyone cutting their raises to around 7500 at this level?

Easy call.

the pots laying 2.6:1

you have 9 outs no matter what villain has, this makes it a call even if villain has 5s6s.

You may have an additional 9 outs if he has 88 or something and are you are way ahead.

Let's see: you have 9 diamonds, 3 fives, 3 Aces, and 3 Kings, as outs against his holding of, say 99. That makes you a substantial favorite.

Did he flop a set? Unlikely, but let's say he did and he holds a diamond, for the worst case. Your outs are 7 diamonds and 3 fives.

So, based on your read, what percent of the time will he push with: 99, two pair, a set, a draw, and a bluff?

yes i call, but it's not like you're ahead at that point, but you have a great chance to make your draw.(i'm guessing you're asking because you didn't)
i would have raised the bb stack all in preflop here, not made it look like a blind steal, unless you're committed to pushing no matter what flops.

I did wonder if I should have just pushed pre-flop, with 12 BBs, but I thought that might look more like a steal than raising 3 BBs. I did call, without much hesitation.

He showed A5o, for the straight on the flop. I figured him for something like A9-AJ or medium pair, but didn't really think he was calling my preflop raise, for almost half his stack, with A5.

Thanks for the comments.
