Default Settle a debate

Friend played this hand, and we had a little debate about all of it. Tell me what you think.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (10 handed) converter

Button ($66.7)
SB ($51.3)
BB ($53)
UTG ($31.88)
UTG+1 ($60.67)
Hero ($53.95)
MP1 ($8)
MP2 ($41.1)
MP3 ($61.45)
CO ($50)

Preflop: Hero is UTG+2 with 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $0.25. CO posts a blind of $0.5.
<font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, Hero calls $0.50, MP1 calls $0.50, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, CO (poster) checks, <font color="#CC3333">Button raises to $1</font>, SB (poster) calls $0.75, BB calls $0.50, Hero calls $0.50, MP1 is all-in ($7.50), CO folds, Button folds, SB folds, BB folds, Hero calls $7.

I don't understand what happened. The converter is screwy. Who bet $7?

But the button is dumb.

Someone raised all in for $8, I called with 87s.

I was calling $7 to win I think $12, closing the action, Stewie says my SC wasn't getting the right odds against the guy's range. Also isn't a big fan of my limp in EP, which is a fairer criticism.

Well this is an interesting question.

You would want him to have a PP below 7s. If he has two overcards there aren't enough pot odds to make it correct.

Interesting...I think I would go with the fold. Because even if he has one overcard you don't have the right odds.

The button is an idiot.

Bleh.

If you have the read to say the $7 push is out of frustration, poor play, or plain stupidity... I suppose. But with that little cash in the pot, I'd drop the SC hand and wait for something to finish off his stack with.

Fold. Price is too high. Plus, I want more players and big stacks in there when I play SCs.

Button must've mis-clicked.

I don't mind the limping with med suited connectors if the table is superpassive. And calling the minraise would have been fine.

I agree that you're not getting odds to call. The pot is $11.50 ... You're putting $7 to win $11.50 where you're you're a coinflip to only a pocket pairs 6 or lower or a hand like A-4. Any other legitimate holding the other guy has dominates your hand.

Let it go.

But I think everyone will agree. The button truly was the biggest idiot in this hand.
