Longest downswings in tourney play
Whats an ok number of tournies to lose in one day before you start questioning your play to a great extent? I've lost 8 $5 to $6 SnG's between party and stars today and am starting to think I cant cut it in these..

[/ QUOTE ] If you read this forum at least semi-regularly, and try to apply what you learn, there's no way you can be a losing player in the $5's. Sounds like your mindset isn't the greatest now though. 8 Buy-ins isn't much to worry about - it's wasily possible you're just "running bad", though if you're having doubts in the $5's, there are probably still some glaring leaks as well. I'd suggest stopping for the day so your low confidence doesn't affect your play, and firing it back up tomorrow. If you're trying to multi-tabling, drop it back to one for a while and really think about each play and why you're making it. It also wouldn't hurt to post a hand or two here that you were unsure of.

Ive had two streaks of 14 tourneys OOTM, and Ive only played only 200 tourneys. Still Im confident Im a winner in the 11s.(i have a ROI of 17 and a ITM of 35 just in case u care)

[img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img] I still don't know my ITM and ROI (thank god)

Take time off if you must or post some HH's or swap some with somebody and ask about your play, but you are in no frame of mind to be criticizing yourself when its raining beats. Andre

Maybe you should try to adapt to playing less hands early, rather than playing any 2 face cards and suited connectors in any position... Also keep reading here at 2+2, posting hands and reading others, trust me it will improve your play exponentially...

If you have two braincells to rub together, you can cut it in these. But only if you try hard enough. Like everyone said, keep learning and improving, and you'll do fine. The answer to your question, as someone stated, is infinity.
