Spread limits for Hold\'em
I've played mostly online so I'm not familiar with spread limits for Texas Hold'em So how would a 1-3 spread limit work for each of the betting rounds for Texas Hold'em at a casino?
Also, one of the Indian Casino has some 3/6/12 tables (not spread limit). How do they work? Thanks for any replies. |

Re: Spread limits for Hold\'em
I dable at the Indian Casino occasionally (not a fan of limit however) - they also offer 3/6/12 tables. On the '3' table, the SB posts $1, the BB posts $3. Preflop betting/raising is limited to $3 increments. Ditto for the flop. The turn and river can be bet/raised in $6 increments. Same is true for the others, just double/triple the amounts based on the stated table. |

That's what I'm confused about on the question about the 3/6/12 game. |

Re: Spread limits for Hold\'em
my experience has been that BOTH the turn and river are limited to $6 increments. of course, with 3 raises these pots can still get quite large.
they call this table the 3/6, thus describing the only too bets. they also offer a 6/12 and so on. |

So how would a 1-3 spread limit work for each of the betting rounds for Texas Hold'em at a casino? [/ QUOTE ] Everywhere I'm aware of, the $1-3 applies to each betting round. You can bet $1, $2, or $3, and raise those same amounts, except that you can't raise less than the bet or raise to you. At Excalibur I played this with a single $1 blind, and it was a gas -- everyone fishing in with everything, all about implied odds. On the East Coast, I think Turning Stone spreads 1-3, and I'm told Mohegan used to. |
