Re: bonus for those small bankrolls at empire
Go check out the Zoo. There is some major mutiny going on.
About 80% of the threads on the front page are about Empire closing accounts. I don't think I'll be clearing this bonus. I'll just hang out at Multi gathering some rakeage. |

Re: bonus for those small bankrolls at empire
Empire and Party both do a moronic job of handling bonuses. They give out bonuses with low % (like 20%) which limits the bonus to people like us who have thousands of dollars sitting in Neteller just waiting for something like this to come along. Then they provide a low playthrough (like 5x or 7x) making the bonus especially enticing to whores. Then they make you clear the bonus in a ridiculously short amount of time (like 7 days or 10 days) which basically means only multitablers can take full advantage.
In a nutshell, these bonuses are custom-made for mutlitabling bonus whores as opposed to Joe Casual (aka Joe Fish) who doesn't have $1000 sitting around for poker and who can't knock down 1400 raked in 7 days. And then Empire gets pissy and shocked to see that its bonuses attract whores. Go figure. Eventually, somebody at Party/skins needs to realize that if you want to reward your regular customers and turn a profit from bonuses, you need to a) Dramatically raise the % so small-time players can take advatage. The latest Empire reload is a good step in this direction. b) Dramatically raise the playthrough requirement. Something lik 30x would be appropriate and would tend to discourage pure whoring. I don't bother doing Stars or Absolute bonuses because they take forever to clear and I don't like those sites anyway. If you make the Party bonuses take longer to clear, you'll chase away at least some of the whores. Regulars would still take advantage of the bonus because hey you're playing there anyway so playthrough isn't that big a deal. c)Dramatically lengthen the time to clear. I'm thinking something like at least 90 days. Maybe make them permanent like Stars. You want to give Joe Casual, who single tables on Friday and Saturday nights, a realistic chance to clear the bonus. Basically, I would like to see Party/et.al. make their bonuses more friendly to small time players, even if that works somewhat to my disadvantage. I would happily accept larger playthrough requirements if it keeps the pond stocked. |

This is probably the most intelligent comment I've seen on the whole debacle. Nice post.

I'll be the 3rd of many to say nice post.
The zoo is a pain, but a necessity at times. Why didn't Paradise ever tell me they had reloads? |

Re: bonus for those small bankrolls at empire
A well thought out position on the Empire debacle. In the super heated atmosphere of the Zoo the whole subject was blown way out of proportion. A little common sense like this brings a lot more light to the subject.
