Default nut draw plus crappy low

I thought this was an easy decision...is it? No reads, this is early...plus I suck at PLO/8 and wouldn't know what to look for if I had any reads.

I'm not sure people realize there is a PLO forum below this one...

PLO/8 Hands are weird, in that they fall in both categories.

This is 0/8 - but it doesn't say "LIMIT RING ONLY"

I will post PLO/8, and PLO/8 SnG questions here - cause they still are 0/8.

Fair enough. I just assumed PLO forum would be a better place to post (seems to get more traffic too).

I'm no expert, but I think this is a fold, you have lots of outs but you're still drawing, and most likely for half the pot. And the original flop bettor is still behind you.

If your call would instead close the action, I think it would be justifiable.

Fold.

With 3 opponents liking their cards, you have to be up against two pair at minimum for high, and at least one A2/A3+ for low, in which case you barely have odds to call if you were closing the action. Since you are not, your odds could be totally wrecked here. And if they have some of your flush outs or have a set, then you don’t have odds.

What really convinces me is that most of the cards you want to see (low hearts or A’s), mean that someone else hit their hand (the low) so you will not have folding equity to drive them out. And if they stay, they a) might be freerolling you, or b) could offer correct odds for a 3rd player to come in and try and bust you

With AA5 your hand plays better shorthanded, so raise preflop -- you’re a significant favorite over most A2xx hands that would have called.

I read the post and had to comment. I play a lot of pot limit O/8 on one of the biggest sites in the biggest game they have.

1) First the raise preflop good advice. I probably pot it.

2) Half the people I play with would pot on the flop you saw.

3) Definately call here at least. I want to see a card. A heart, second choice big spade, third choice 2 or 3 to counterfit, fourth pair the board. Aces up can win a lot of pots.

4) Everyone has to be scared. Let's see what happens on the turn. I think you can sometimes steal the pot on the turn. If they all check to you on the turn and you pot. Do they call with nut low draw.

Note - I play aggressive. I pot a lot. If it misses I'll be back with a rebuy, either having the nuts or drawing to the nuts.
