Did I chicken out too early with JJ?
Villain is super LP 87/8/.29 over 40 hands - is this sample size big enough to judge the post flop aggression factor?
Party Poker 1/2 Hold'em (10 handed) converter Preflop: Hero is MP1 with J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. 3 folds, Hero raises, 1 fold, MP3 calls, CO calls, Button calls, 2 folds. Flop: (9.50 SB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (4 players) Hero bets, MP3 folds, CO calls, Button calls. Turn: (6.25 BB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players) Hero bets, CO raises, Button folds, Hero folds. Final Pot: 9.25 BB I'm thinking there's too many hands that beat me at this point, correct me if I'm wrong |

Re: Did I chicken out too early with JJ?
I like it. Any 8, K and flush beats you. Since you were the preflop agressor and low limit players always suspect AK (^^) I don't think he would raise you if he cannot beat a pair of jacks.

Re: Did I chicken out too early with JJ?
40 hands is good enough to get an indication of their aggression if they've played enough of those hands. 87% VPIP says yes. I'd continue with the J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], but this is a clear fold for me.

[/ QUOTE ] 40 hands is not even close to enough hands to determine aggresssion postflop UNLESS you have been carefully watching the player and taking notes (ie. aggression of 0.29 is pretty meaningless with 40 hands). Nevertheless, I think it's a fine fold. You are either way behind or still have to dodge too many river cards to win if ahead. |

Me too, but I slightly alter my response so as not to look like I'm directly copying everyone

Re: Did I chicken out too early with JJ?
If you thought you were beat on the turn, why bet?
You could likely call them down for 2 bets total instead. Just an alternate play suggestion, in these TROUBLE hands... >TW< |
