A7s and an ace hits the flop...
SB is very aggressive.
Preflop: Hero is MP2 with 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. 2 folds, MP1 calls, Hero calls, 2 folds, Button calls, SB completes, BB checks. Flop: (5 SB) A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (6 players) SB bets, BB folds, UTG calls, MP1 raises, Hero...? What's your move there? |

Re: A7s and an ace hits the flop...
I think you can fold here.
There is no flushdraw available and only some gutshots to the A-high straight. It is very likely that you have kickerproblems here. The pot is still kinda small (unraised preflop), so fold |

I wouldn't continue unless I also had a read on MP1.

Re: A7s and an ace hits the flop...
If you have SSH, this is very similar to the first question on the flop play quizzes. So for the same reasons, I recommend folding. Basically, if you are behind, you are drawing virtually dead. If you are dominated, another Ace is just going to dig you deeper, and while a 7 might improve you to the best hand on the turn, the river could counterfeit your two-pair, and a 7 could also give someone a flush draw. MP1's raise is more of a concern than SB, since he can't be pumping a flush draw or OESD, so it seems likely he has hit something.
If you are ahead, the 3 opponents already in the flop probably have a combined 10+ outs against you (a K, Q, J, or T will probably complete a two-pair, trip kings, or a gutshot), so you will have to do some dodging for this hand to hold up. The pot is giving you only 4.5:1, you don't close the action, you could very well be behind now, and if not, your hand is very vulnerable, so it all adds up to a fold. |

Re: A7s and an ace hits the flop...
whew, w/o reads it is tough, but pot is small enough i would fold for 2. if you're outkicked you're drawing to ~4.5outs (3 remaining 7s and 1.5 BDFD) and that is pretty slim for this pot.

Re: A7s and an ace hits the flop...
This is an easy fold for me. Pot is small. Likely outkicked. It's even more painful if "very aggressive" SB 3-bets and it comes back to Hero capped the second time. If we're up against a set already, we're in horrific shape.
Just to make sure I'm not an idiot in a more straight-forward situation... What if everyone checks to MP1 who bets? |

SB is very aggressive. [/ QUOTE ] Difficult to play. Either 3-bet or fold. Calling is certainly wrong. If you play it, you must get the initiative (can be expensive here). I would probably fold. |

Re: A7s and an ace hits the flop...
Yea reraise to get heads up from someone that you may be drawing dead to, or at most 3 outs. Fold in this small pot, plus you could get sandwiched, and the original better could reraise.

[/ QUOTE ] I think this is wrong. If you think you are always 'drawing dead' with TPWK, you are leaving lots of $ on the table. |
