Default Tuning post-flop play.

Pacific Poker 2/4 Hold'em (10 handed)

BB is loose-passive player with 67/0/0.54

Preflop: Hero is SB with Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
5 folds, MP3 calls, CO calls, Button fold, Hero raises, BB calls, MP3 calls, CO calls.

Flop: (7.75 SB) 8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 6 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 3 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (4 players)
Hero bets, BB raises, MP3 folds, CO folds, Hero calls

Turn: (5.75 BB) 4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, BB bets, Hero calls

River: (7.50 BB) J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, BB bets, Hero calls

Final Pot: 9.50 BB

Is check in turn ok? Or is it better to bet? Scary board bothered me and I feared re-raise.

I saw that there was no room for value raise and there was no way to protect my hand.

I'm playing both the flop and river more aggressively. I think a river checkraise if you played the flop that passively is ok, but I'm at least 3-betting that flop, and I think your river action depends entirely on his flop response. I don't know about that read, that might change my action, but I'm still leaning towards 3-betting that flop.

I liked the turn check raise, til it didn't happen.

Preflop is an easy raise -- good job.

Flop bet is good, but the call is only smart if you plan to check-raise the turn. Even so, three-betting this flop isn't a bad play.

Given how you played the flop, this turn needs a check-raise. If you had reraised the flop, you need to lead this turn.

River card is yours; why didn't you hit this? The way this hand has gone, BB looks like a made flush on the flop. Your Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] is likely good here. Pop the river and make him cry.
