Default Question on Party/Empire random-ness

Newbie here - sorry if this post is covering old ground. I had a read through the past threads and couldn't find it covered.

I have been playing on Party for the past month, using "No-Hands Holdem" software to keep my preflop play rock-tight and having read Sklansky's Low Stakes Holdem book. I have played just over 1000 hands of real money games, 25NL and 25PL, and about 2000 hands of pretend money.

Since I switched to real money, I am down about 5% of my buy-in, which I am fairly pleased with, considering how green I am.

However, I am becoming increasingly frustrated at the frequency that Party deals opposing very big pocket pairs. I have lost count of the times that my KK has lost to AA. There also seems to be QQ and JJ dealt quite often in the same hand as well.

I suspect that this is done by Party deliberately to boost the rake on these pots. It certainly seems to happen far more often than is statistically likely.

2 Questions:

1. Am I paranoid, or is the Party hand-generator rigged to boost the action?
2. Can someone recommend an alternative site that is truly random, ideally with a decent new user sign-up bonus?

Sorry for the long, rambling post.

Rob.

PS I love this site!

You are paranoid.

Also, look up 'confirmation bias'.

Yes. You hit the nail on the head. Party is out to get you. It actually won't matter which site you go to because Party has already sent them your name. Just like the Vegas casinos share the names of cheats, all the online poker sites share your name so they can give you KK against someone AA. Boy, sucks to be you. Try opening an account in a false name.

Since you at least think you are paranoid I will be nice and also state it isn't rigged, it is random.

I don't think the RNG is as random as their DSS or MIS.

Yes. They (Party) are sitting on a gold mine. Why would they do anything shady that could potentially jeopardize that?

By the way, this is probably the only sincere response you are going to receive. Take cover.

Party doesn't use a random-number generator. They employ about 300,000 Chinese shufflers, working in shifts. As soon as they finish shuffling a deck, they scan it. The scanned deck is transmitted by fiber optic line to Bangalore, India, where 150,000 Indian stackers move a few cards to boost the action. The deck is then released to the hand servers on a reservation in Canada, your hand is dealt, and your opponent in Fresno to suck out on you.

the sheer thought that party would target players to specifically to lose. the sheer thought is retarded, why drive away a customer by bankrupting them rather then letting them play more and win and generate more rake. make no doubt about it poker rooms enjoy our business since we play so much. hell in the last 16 hours of play or so i've given them over 200 bucks. (but i got a rakeback deal ) they like players like us to continually play. lots of money for them.

I wasn't for a moment suggesting that the game is rigged against me personally. I have benefitted from holding AA over KK as often as I have sufferred the reverse.

In any case, I am now convinced that the game is on the level!

THanks for your combined wit and wisdom!
