I was wondering how soft the Party 2/4 game is compared the 1/2.
Before I get flamed, I know that you can't determine your true win rate in the # of hands that I have played. I'm merely offering those numbers so you understand the motives behind my question better. I played approx. 12k hands at 1/2 and was around 2.5bb/100 so I started looking at 2/4 and it seemed to be basically the same (same vpip%, pfr%, etc). I had the bankroll so I moved up to 2/4 and was around 2bb/100 through 15k hands. Then I hit streak where I lost all of my 2/4 winnings in less than 5k hands. I just seemed to lose to horrible hands (like A4o, etc) and get rivered a ton. I am currently at -.3bb/100 and so I went back to playing 1/2. I'm wondering if I just got scared or if the games are not as similar as I first though. Thanks |

1/2 is a cakewalk, and anybody that believes differently either has terrible postflop skills or has terrible postflop skills and terrible preflop skills, and just never fixed their leaks from when they played .5/1.
2/4 is tougher, albeit somewhat looser and perhaps more passive. You still need to practice a modicum of table selection at both levels. |

2/4 is not as aggro as 1/2 I find.
There is a larger variety of different types of players. Table selection is important here. |

I find that tables break up a lot more often at 2/4, which is annoying. Otherwise I think 2/4 is looser and slightly more aggressive.

Otherwise I think 2/4 is looser and slightly more aggressive. [/ QUOTE ] I agree with this. At no site do I find 1-2 MORE aggresive. Tighter, yes, sometimes, because of a higher % of bohos, but many of those are playing tight/passive trying to ensure a profit from whatever bonus they're working on. |

Do you really think the limper has a set? I think he was pumping a flush draw, no way he folds a set on the river after all that action.
