Default Making the Deal Part 2

Ok, The respondents of my deal at Borgata thought I made a good deal in this link: web page

If my deal was good who's deal was bad?

Lets rank them in accordance to best deal and explain why.

I’ll start with:

5th 1 best deal because highly unlikely to improve from current position

4rth 2 b/c highly unlikely to finish 3rd or better due to chip count

1st 3 b/c locks up win w/ five players left but pays premium.

2nd 4 locks up 2nd giving up minimum premium but gives up shot at win.

3rd 5 worst deal, gives premium to players below him that he had significant lead on.

Also at what prize level should 5th reject deal and go for gold?

For example, if 1st prize were 1 Million, and 5th 1K, I would never make this deal.

So how do we calculate the level where we are at deal/ no-deal?

I think that the third place guy obviously took the worst of the deal. He had you outchipped 3-1, yet you both got the same money. To me, the next worst was the guy in first place. Maybe this is just my view, but with that kind of chip lead I would have been inclined to continue play and take my chances.

Agree, that if I was in the lead, I would not have offered a deal just yet.
