Default This is my edge - this hand makes me happy

full 5-10 online. I have $1300 in CO w/ 66. Loose, bad limper in MP, I raise to $40, bad blind (has me covered) calls, limper calls.

Flop 5s6s8c.

Check, I bet $100, Blind calls. Blind is a chronic slowplayer and likes to make small value bets. MP folds

Turn 5h.

Check, I bet $150 to price in the draw, blind quickly calls.

River 8s.

Blind bets out $200, I call and lose to 88 - Lucky river for me

Also, if I were other player, I would have doubled up no matter what against almost all opponents.

You called the $200 river bet, what size bet would have made you lay it down? Only one 8 in his hand beats you and he finally comes out betting when the 8 hits the river. Did you think about laying it down without a call?

I thought about it, but decided he could have put me on an overpair and had As(KQJT)s and made a slim value bet. I was getting better than 3:1 to look him up and an 8 didn't seem reasonable for his hand. I agree though, I probably could have folded.

personally I think you both out thought yourself. I mean any straight, any 5, A7s, or other combo of straight and flush draw will give you more action than that on the turn.
