I am fairly new to this site, and have picked up a lot of good info. So I'm playing yesterday, and I ask the table if there are any 2+2er's at the table. Was this wrong? Some guy started tripping on me, wanting to private message me on SN, whatever that is???? Then he started saying my shout out was lame and all this crap. I really don't see what the big deal is, if your a 2+2er or Chris Moneymaker, I'm still gonna play my game and win my fair share of pots. Is this site considered some kind of poker secret or something?? Any help would be appreciated.

Your posts sound sincere to me, so I dont see why the responses you got so far had to be a$$holes about it (probably has a lot to say for what was said to you at the table as well)

Anyway, there really is no reason to ask if your opponenets are 2+2 ers. Many 2+2 players dont want to be identified as such.. 2+2ers are "supposed" to be good, and telling you is free information... Second, making your poor opponents aware of information to make them better opponets is lame. If they want to get better, they will find there way here just like everyone else... no need to lead the horse to water.

There are catchphrases that you use to identify yourself as a 2+2er such as "supbro". I personally think this is gay. So you can be lame and say what you did, or you can be gay and say "supbro".

I think the best option is to simply determine if your opponents play good poker. If they do, then theres a good chance theyve been to this site.

Yeah. People on this site don't like to spread the word around. It's pretty amazing that 2+2 publishing has created a forum so great that the members actively avoid advertising it.

I guess the new code phrase is "Sup Bro?" to identify yourself as a 2+2er, but why bother?

When I was first here I used to care when people spread the word, now I don't care. Theres so many morons posting stupid advice and so many bad even horrible players playing and posting on 2p2 I don't really care now.
