2/4 vs. 3/6, baffled, basic stats show anything?
I've played about 12k+ hands at 2/4 and 3/6 and the difference is just black and white. Based on the overview stats is there anything that jumps out to explain why I'm just so poor at 3/6? Is it possible to run this bad over 12k hands as a winning player? Sorry I don't have a image to paste, I have no where to host it from. Some _ chars thrown in to line things up.
Level, Hands, _VPIP, VPFSB, FSBTS, FBBTS, ATTSB, W$WSF, BB/100, WTSD%, W$SD, _PFR 3/6, __12039, 17.25, 26.98, 88.37, _65.82, _24.27, _29.34, _-1.42, _30.84, 50.90, 8.56 2/4, __13470, 18.52, 34.12, 82.69, _57.89, _19.61, _29.46, _+4.18, _30.28, 47.53, 8.37 The only thing that seems to change is my W%SD and a little at the blind steal/defense. I just don't see anything to explain a SIX bb/100 difference in results from 2/4 and 3/6. Small sample size seems a cop out given the vast difference, but I wouldn't mind hearing it as an excuse I so desparately want to win at 3/6 and I'm just stumped and I can't figure out where I'm leaking. |

Re: 2/4 vs. 3/6, baffled, basic stats show anything?
I ran almost 20k hands last month at .8BB/100, and I think your W$WSF is a clear indication that you're just running bad. I don't know why your 2/4 W$WSF is so low too, that's a little odd. But anyway, your sample sizes are awfully small to make any determination about being a winning player. Over the past two weeks I've found 3/6 to be a lot easier than 2/4, for some reason.

Re: 2/4 vs. 3/6, baffled, basic stats show anything?
Just at first glance, it looks like you play too many hands from the SB at 3/6. The 1/3 blinds make it hard to play too many more hands than you would for full price. You could be raising more hands. For 4.18 BB/100 at 2/4, your W$SD was incredibly low. It's still a little low at 3/6.
You were probably running better than you should have at 2/4 and worse than you should be at 3/6. 12K hands really is too few to determine winrates, even when they're so different. |

starting new stakes on a downswing sucks. I have 2 stretches of 10k hands at 3/6 where I am even or slightly down, and still have a healthy winrate. 12k hands is not a lot. Your stats don't look too far off from what I remember in Ish's analysis (mine were, but hey, I'm a LAG). Keep chugging away.

also, how do you feel your table selection has been at 3/6? sometimes it seems like it's almost impossible to find a decent table. I spend a lot of time hopping.

Throw some of those hands into pokergrader and see what that says about how you were running. When you are looking at the graph, the green line is where you profit *should* have been on average, and the red line is where it actually was.
You can put in a max of 5k hands at a time, so just pick out a section of your history and send it in. It can help bring back your confidence if you see that you really were playing well. |

Sample Size.
That said, your blind play needs real work (both stealing and defending). |

poker-edge.com
Try their 3-day free trial, it's quite nice. At 3/6 and 2/4 it's got probably 90% of players. |
