Default Giving or getting action with strong (but not nuts) hands?

Hand 1
Reads: Not many hands at this table.
BB is loose and passive.
Button is somewhat tight, don't know how aggressive he is yet.

Party Poker 5/10 Hold'em (6 max, 5 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is SB with K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
2 folds, Button calls, Hero completes, BB checks.

Flop: (3 SB) A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero bets, BB folds, Button calls.

Turn: (2.50 BB) 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, Button checks.

River: (2.50 BB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets, Hero raises, Button 3-bets, Hero caps, Button calls.

Final Pot: 10.50 BB

I usually bet this flop with or without the king. When I am bluffing I give up on the turn so therefore I sometimes check/raise the turn when I have the hand I was representing on the flop.

I usually bet the river, but decided to check/raise instead. Stupid to check the river? Should I just call the 3-bet here instead of capping?

Hand 2
Reads: Villian is loose and somewhat passive.

Party Poker 5/10 Hold'em (6 max, 4 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is SB with 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
2 folds, Hero raises, BB calls.

Flop: (4 SB) 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets, BB calls.

Turn: (3 BB) T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets, BB calls.

River: (5 BB) 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets, BB raises, Hero 3-bets, BB caps, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 13 BB

I usually play all pairs in the SB against the BB.
The flop is an automatic bet. I figure to have the best hand more often than not.
On the turn I was going to bet and fold to a raise.
A beautiful card on the river, but I get raised...
Is this an easy 3-bet or should I just call giving him credit for a slowplayed monster??

I like capping, especially hand #1.
What could beat you? AK/AA/KK they raise preflop.

The river play in both is perfect [EDIT: in reference to capping]. I don't particularly like checking the river on hand 1, but that's so read-dependent that I can understand you doing it.

Hand 1 is FPS on the turn and river. I'd raise pre flop against a tight BB.

Hand 2 is well played.

Well played.

Hand 1 I would probably bet the turn and I'd be afraid to check the river, Button doesn't look like he likes his hand much and it could easily be checked through.

But still, this is fine.

Hand 2 I'd have played it the same.

Default RESULTS for the curious.

Hand 1: Button had AK
Hand 2: BB had 86

Thats why I questioned my caps on the river.
But I guess the cap on the river is standard in both hands.
Maybe I suffered from FPS (Fancy play syndrome) in hand 1.

Hand 1: I would raise this one preflop. Even though you claim he is somewhat tight, a button openlimp usually means a crappy hand and you are probably best more often than not. I would also bet the turn, since I think his most likely hand here is a small pair, which he will probably call down with but may not bet. This way you will gain 2 bets as opposed to probably 1 (he bets, you checkraise and he folds or he checks and you bet the river).

Hand 2: I like.
