no, I 3-bet on a draw board/I'm minraised. That is a very strong bet by him.

I was pretty sure he had a set since the board was so dry, but it was such a big pot i wanted to make sure, bad line of thinking?

Yes, because if you don't think he has a set and he really is bluffing then just call

With a cold-caller of your flop bet and a raiser on the end on a very thin drawing board (who calls with a 34 here?), I think this is a very standard fold. Heck, even on a drawing board that didn't improve my QQ, I would be tempted to fold with the same betting sequences without any reads.

The reraise was minimal as well. Does that really inspire people to fold here?

I can't think of a single situation in which it is correct to 3-bet a flop in no-limit poker in order to "find out" whether you are behind. The price of the "information" is too high, and the play is often sub-optimal if you in fact are ahead.

Thanks all for the responses. I hated my move the instant i made it. I will use this advice in the future and continue to try and improve my game.
