Remembering the days of 3/6
Yesterday, I decided to do some multi-tabling at 3/6 for the first time in a while. Boy, after about one hour, I really regret not doing it more often.
Here are two hands from last night: HAND 1: PartyPoker 3/6 Hold'em Hero is UTG with Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Hero raises, folded around to BB who calls. Flop: 8 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 3 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] BB checks, Hero bets, BB calls. Turn: Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] BB checks, Hero bets, BB check-raises, Hero 3-bets, BB calls. River: K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] BB bets, Hero raises, BB 3-bets, Hero caps, BB calls. HAND 2: Hero is on Button with A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Folded around, Hero raises on Button, SB calls, BB 3-bets, Hero caps, SB calls, BB calls. Flop: A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets, SB calls, BB check-raises, Hero 3-bets, SB calls, BB calls. Turn: 3 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets, SB check-raises all-in $10, BB calls, Hero 3-bets, BB calls. River: 2 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] BB checks, Hero bets, BB calls. Comments/thoughts appreciated. |

Re: Remembering the days of 3/6
hand 1, I would not cap the river without a read on BB but that's just me.
hand 2, I like. nice turn 3 bet once SB is all in. it looks like you're chopping at worst with BB, but you might have taken his AJ/AQ for a ride. |

Re: Remembering the days of 3/6
Hand 1: Three-bet on the turn was meant to be for information. If BB caps, I'll just call down on the river unless board pairs. Because he didn't reraise me preflop or on the flop and because he didn't cap on the turn, I don't think BB has JT or KK. Those are the only two hands that can beat mine, therefore I cap up the river, putting BB on either 98 or KQ.
Hand 2: Pretty standard with SB shortstacked. Guess BB couldn't take a hint. Not every raise from the button is a steal |
