Default Challenge to Sklansky lovers

Why dont all of you who have been suc**ng David off, saying he would beat Daniel N heads up put up some cash and give him a freeroll. Daniel offered David +110 so gather up 200K back David and offer him 20K if he wins, allowing all the investers even money on the prop. If the match only takes 3hrs and David believes he is 50/50 againest Daniel N., David would would have an +EV of 10k or 3.3K an hour, I would have to believe if david truely believed he could beat Daniel he would come out and play for 3.3K an hour. If not ......................

even money bets are a waste of time why would I gather up cash for an even money bet...... because this even money bet is more entertaining than flipping a coin?

So if we make an even money bet where we roll a six sided die and I win on a 1 or 2 and you win on 3-6 it's a waste of time?

You make this bet if you think Sklansky is a favorite.

Let's leave David's loved one's out of this stupid feud.

David DID say that he'd play Danny in 7cardstud hi/lo w/no qualifier heads up and Danny said no. David also doesn't want to promote one casino while another casino is promoting his products (or something like that).

look isn't it obvious that this is a finished arguement?Daniel N. is a better poker player than David Sklansky. David is too afraid to play Daniel because he knows he's not a favorite. Thats all there is to it. How they handle their money isn't any of our business.

Are you forgetting what board you're on?

Do you understand that there are more costs than the expectation of winning or losing a buyin in this game? There are metagame considerations and incidental costs which also affect that profitability of this highly unique match.

David made it quite clear that he had not thought this aspect of the match through and, after drawing these conclusions and engaging in some silly meat-flailing, withdrew for this and other reasons. The assumption that any one of these factors is the sole reason for his eventual decision is rather ignorant.

On a related note.. I would honestly like to see someone like Prahlad Friedman or Mike Mizrachi take Dan on.. Maybe we can arrange some sort of staking agreement with one of the more respected internet high-limit players.

I'm interested to see when this story starts making serious press and how it will be marketed. There is no way Wynn is paying Daniel just to bring in a trickle of kibitzing poker enthusiasts who will spend the majority of their time watching the game or playing in the least profitable floorspace of the casino. Expect the LVJR, sun, etc., to pimp this pretty hardcore.
