If Robbins is losing, he will fight, notice what is working and what is not, then change his strategy untill he wins.. Also, He can change the rules by saying to himself,

"As long as I dont smoke another cigarette I AM a WINNER"

whereas Dr. Phil can only ask himself..

Then he would ask Tony for a compromise BEFORE they started to fight!
