Default ako early play - anyone wanna give me some feedback?

Is this foolish?
Don't like to bet after being checked to, as like to be really really cautious this early in a tourney, even if I've opened. First post ever, so take it easy on me

Welcome to the forum. I think if you are heads up on the flop and he checked to you, you can saftley throw out a 2/3 of the pot bet in the hopes of taking it down right there.

Paired boards are great to bet at. Your opponent very likely doesn't have anything, unless he has a PP. I think it's good to throw 2/3 pot here even at the crap low levels.

I had no read at that point of course, but was for some reason fearing a pp. I guess I'm just too hyperconservative at the early parts of tournies. Will have to think about this. Also worry that i'll be reraised all in if i bet, as people at the 10+1s seem to enjoy doing this even with junk.

This leak isn't a big one. Trust me. Weak-tight pussyness for L1 and L2 is the way to go.

If you bet half of the pot on the flop how often does it need to be successful to show a profit?

If you bet three quarters of the pot on the flop how often does it need to be successful to show a profit?

Once you figure that out, do you think a half pot or a three quarter bot is usually better for this purpose and why?
