Default Passive Top Pair Line

No read on BB. Figured he probably doesn't have a flush draw to lead out, out of position with the 3 bets preflop and the ace on the flop. Could have any ace, set, or pocket pair. Don't want to push him off his inferior hands, and a free card don't hurt much. On the turn I got scared he has a flush and don't want to get 3 bet here so just called. Thoughts?

perfect. If anything, a river raise should be considered, but this is the best line in most cases.

I dont think the hand was played correctly. I would think that a raise on the flop is in order. if he 3 bets, you have to possible think youre beaten. However if he just calls (which is more likely with a preflop 3 bettor) you can check the river out. If he check raises the turn, youre in a sticky spot, but I think you can probably safely fold with the flush hitting. Youre way, you lose $150. My way, you only lose $120, or $90. Youre hand isnt that strong so saving money is more important then winning money in this case.
