Default Poker as spectator sport: QQ in SB facing allin preflop.. PP 5/10 NL

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (10 handed) converter

($928.5)
Button ($1418)
SB ($687.46)
BB ($2154.5)
UTG ($1106)
UTG+1 ($680)
UTG+2 ($560.25)
MP1 ($668.25)
MP2 ($2746)
MP3 ($1000)

Preflop:
UTG pushes All In.

UTG is very tight solid regular, top 10 money winner last 2 months on Party 5/10, only been sitting for 5 hands hasn't played a 1. (Evidently he picked up a small pot to get to 1106 that I missed, I did just see him sit down as I hit the wait list and it's only been 3-4 minutes. ) SB (not hero, I'm in line) has QQ.

What hand range should SB put UTG on and what should he do accordingly?

He's been sitting for 5 hands, hasn't played one, and has a stack of 1106 in a 1000 max buy-in? Damn this guy is good

Hmmm, SB's QQ is...

** 4:1 underdog against AA/KK
** split pot against other QQ
** coin flip against AK
** not likely against JJ

I don't think this one is too hard.

Since this is relativley low content, I'll post results already.

UTG has AdKd. SB calls with QQ. All blanks come and QQ doubles up. I saw this hand about 2 minutes after reading Dave's PocketKingsOnline post.

Bad call. He just got lucky here unless he had a read but obviously the read was off. Depending on the suits of the cards, the AK suited might've been a slight favorite.

Regardless of the suits of the cards, the AK suited must have been a slight dog.

First of all, AK vs QQ is never a favorite regardless of suits unless you somehow know a Q was mucked. UTG was diamonds, QQ was the red queens. The SB player in question also doubtless had meta game reasons for the call since he's very aggro lag and his strategy works far, far better with the threat of a larger stack behind it. Also it was vastly out of character for UTG to do what he did, I think everyone who knows the UTG player was wondering what was rotten in Denmark when he did that.
