Default Party $250k Guaranteed - Short Stack BB Hand

Not sure about this one as I don't really play tournaments. I don't have the hand history but I remember the hand pretty well.

15 players left, blinds 7500/15000, I'm tournament shortstack with ~60k after posting a blind of 15k. Top 11-15 pay $2700, top 10 pay $79k-$3.5k.

I'm dealt K8o. It's folded around to the button who has me and the SB covered pretty handily. Button minraises. SB folds, I...?

Button hasn't been at my table long and hasn't done anything extraordinary since I've been with him, although he has raised preflop a few times to little resistance.

As he has been raising PF and meeting little resistance, I think you need to play back here. Two choices, push (do you have FE vs his range of hands?), or Stop & Go (smooth call then push any flop, if he missed he may fold for the additional bet).

I don't know that you have enough to fold to the next level, and you will be very short after posting the SB if you fold here.

The only other thing I would ask though is has he been min-raising with his other PF raise hands? If the answer is yes, I think my line becomes more correct.

i think i'd call and push any flop that didn't hit you hard. you have too much hand to fold when you're this short, and there's no money bump for a bit anyway.

I agree with schwza except to say that "hard" means 2 non-board pair or better. I would push *all* other flops.

Thanks for the advice. I was thinking about it last night and realized a stop and go would have been the way to go, like you guys seem to advocate.

For the curious, I push, Button calls with QTo, hits a couple of queens and I'm out in 15th.
