Default *GRRRR* stupid question, did I play this right?

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t100 (9 handed)

Button (t820)
SB (t2455)
BB (t6360)
UTG (t2440)
Hero (t2350)
MP1 (t3190)
MP2 (t3845)
MP3 (t460)
CO (t1030)

Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
UTG calls t100, Hero raises to t300, 5 folds, SB raises to t750, 1 fold, UTG folds, Hero raises All-In SB calls.

Flop: (t4850) 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)

Turn: (t4850) 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)

River: (t4850) 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)

Final Pot: t4850

Probably a really stupid question, but did I play this right or should I just call and bet on the flop and turn and river to get more info about what my opponent may be playing? Needless to say villian sucked out. I just want to know that I did the right thing to ease the pain.

Anytime you can get your stack in preflop and get called with AA, you've played it well. You're going to take a lot of crap for posting this, because it's a bad beat post, plain and simple.

Anytime you can get all your chips in with AA's PF and get called you played it right. Don't make this out to be a BPP. We all get sucked out with AA's.

This post was actually over an arguement I had with my roommate. I realize that it came accross as a bad beat post and apologize for that. When I made this move and lost, my roommate argued that I should not have risked all my chips on one hand when I am not at risk of being blinded out. I said just what you said, that any time you can get all in pre-flop with a far superior hand it is the right move. Obviously I was right, but I needed some back up from you guys. Thanks for the backup.

P.S.

I did say it was a stupid question in the topic line

Even Hellmuth doesn't lay down Aces pre-flop. Risking all your chips is fine with AA if you get all the money in before the flop as youre a big favourite against everything.
