Default Dealing with bad players

Is it me, or it just extremely frustrating dealing with fundamentaly bad player? I want to know from more experienced players how to deal with these situations?. Example: I am playing in a 3/6 table. Flopped two pairs(AK). A "player" calls my raise and bets down to the river just to show a backdoor flush. I mean, this guy called with a 3 card flush and not even pairing the flop. I started playing just less than a year ago. I have read six books, watched instructional videos, play every night, made final tables and placed in the money several times but nothing prepares you for people that has no regard for logic or respect for the game. Pot odds for these people most mean buying a 3 cooking pot set. Any advise out there. Thank You(sorry for the rant)

If someone goes and puts $100 on the number 7 in Roulette. They are going to hit that number how many times?

Does the casino get mad when they hit that seven? Do they say "you can't beat idiots who bet on anything."

The odds of him hitting that bacdoor flush was 23 to 1. Just imagine a roulette wheel with 23 numbers. Sometimes the "lucky gambooler" who keeps putting his money on the seven has to hit it, sometime. Right?

Do you even realize how many times he doesn't hit it? You don't remember those times though because the mysterious hand he was calling to the river with goes in the muck. You have a selective memory.

today i had trip Aces beat by a 3-5 offsuit, because he made his wheel on the river. sure it's upsetting to watch your money go to someone else, but guess what, i got it all back in about 20 minutes. that guy was just bleeding chips hoping for another suckout, and was broke within the hour. after a while bad beats don't have the same effect on you. just keep playing your game the way you do and hope that they keep playing their game way they do.

Selective memory is right.

These people give you money... be nice to them.

So....None of this material that you read mentioned anything about where the money is made in the game? I'd find some other instructional materials.

How about analysing how much he lost and you made in the longrun on this hand? Who drags the pot is irrelevant. You should welcome this type of play with open arms.

Sometimes you don't get it back for a couple weeks.

You can play a hand (several hands) perfectly and still wind up on the short end. Stop viewing the short term and look at the long term. I've had days where within 10 minutes I'm down 15 BB (limit), time, patience, and the right amount of aggressiveness turns things around.

Playing against the worst of the worst (.01/.02), I'm up about 400 BB's in the last month. Idiots like this guy will eventually pay you off.

Yeah, go ahead and laugh--I'm not happy about the penny poker, but the wife has placed some limitations.
