Default 2 potential straights in the sweet spot with a set, should I bet?

Villain is semi loose (33%-ish), but VERY passive. Doesn't really raise preflop, maybe the big three.

Postflop he probably goes a little too far with his hands. He probably doesn't care about pot odds.

Bet.

Because of his passivity he'll fail to punish you with many hands that beat you, while he'll call with many many hands that you beat.

Easy bet. Folding to a c/r is situational, and in this particular situation, correct.

Betting, but folding to a raise is easily the best line here.

Lets bet this river shall we? If raised, a fold is probably in order but I suck so I probably wouldnt.

Okay, against this opponent, I can see that. I did bet and my hand was good, it was ahead the whole way.

However, let's say the opponent is NOT passive, and capable of making moves on me. Should I still bet the river, knowing I can easily get pushed off the best hand? Should I bet the river and call a raise? Or check this behind against difficult opponents?
