Can you say Tilt?
Awful play on my part towards the end. Just want to see what you guys would do here. Villian is a known chaser, at least in the 150 hands I've seen him in...6 max.
Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ Hero (6 max, 6 handed) converter CO ($42.56) Button ($101.62) SB ($70.7) Hero ($27.75) UTG ($37.9) MP ($24.88) Preflop: Hero is BB with T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $0.25. UTG calls $0.50, 3 folds, SB (poster) completes, Hero raises to $2.5, UTG folds, SB calls $2.50. Flop: ($6.50) 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players) SB checks, Hero bets $4, SB calls $4. Turn: ($14.50) A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players) SB bets $3, Hero calls $3. River: ($20.50) A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players) SB bets $6, Hero calls $6. Final Pot: $32.50 For some reason I was thinking (he's sucked out on me a few times so all I can think about is stomping him, which obviously throws off my thought process), okay he's chasing again. He bets on the turn representing an ace. I call the $3 into a $13 pot. River another ace, okay, no less of a chance he's got one. He bets $6 into a $13 pot...blocking bet on his busted flush draw? I call it. Whether I won or lost was irrelevant, where would you guys play it different? Reraise the turn to find out where I stand? Fold to the $3 bet (don't think I can because it's only 22% of the pot), fold on the river? Help. What would you have put him on? He's a 58% VPIP. |

Re: Can you say Tilt?
Just to give you an idea, here's another hand from the same table, same villian.
Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (6 max, 6 handed) converter BB ($54.58) UTG ($100.65) MP ($33.73) Hero ($36.05) Button ($17.75) SB ($18.25) Preflop: Hero is CO with T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $0.25. 1 fold, MP calls $0.50, Hero raises to $2, Button calls $2, SB (poster) calls $1.75, 1 fold, MP calls $1.50. Flop: ($8.50) Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (4 players) SB checks, MP checks, Hero bets $5, Button folds, SB folds, MP calls $5. Turn: ($18.50) 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players) MP checks, Hero checks. River: ($18.50) 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players) MP checks, Hero checks. Final Pot: $18.50 Question: Is this too many people to continuation bet into with absolutely nothing but a perfect/perfect straight draw? |

Re: Can you say Tilt?
If you thought he had a flush draw on the turn you should have raised him. As it was, you gave him over 5:1 on his bet.
--Dave. Edit: However, an ace-high flush draw may have just caught something. |

Re: Can you say Tilt?
In this second hand, I don't mind the continuation bet, but I shut down UI just as you did.
[ QUOTE ] with absolutely nothing but a perfect/perfect straight draw [/ QUOTE ] This isn't perfect perfect, it's runner runner, just to be a nit. -Trail |
