Default Oberon Chips...

What do you guys think of these? I have a B-Day coming up, so I think these might be an idea. Just to narrow down suggestions that might come up if you don't like them:
1. I like colorful/slightly unusual chips
2. I like heavier chips
3. I don't like denoms on the chips
4. I got some samples from pokerchips.com, and was a little upset when they marked each other up and were a bit too light for me.

so here is the link:

Well I personally don't like my chips to be too heavy...9-10g is what I like.

I like the look a lot, but they are very heavy and probably feel like dice chips. I think it would be a cool design for chipcos maybe.

Yeah, I love the look, and really won't mind if they feel like dice chips. The weight isn't that big of a deal to me either. I like heavy chips.

I like the look. Has anyone actually handled these chips? If they are decent, I might have to get a set also. I didn't see a way to order samples off of that site.

I prefer the Razor Luck chips on that site. The owner of the site claimed that the chips feel and stack up very nicely, compared to the plastic composite chip. He said that they feel like casino chips.

Well, I find it a little unsettling that the chips in the rack are not the chips pictured above. In fact, there don't seem to be any photos of the actual chips anywhere on the site. I think the designs look terrific, I'd just be worried that none of them have actually been made and they may never materialize...

If you get them, post pics! I think they're cool-looking.

Yeah this is about exactly what I told him:

Hi, I really like your chips look alot, but I feel a little uncomfortable buying chips that are only illustrated in, and are not even pictured with the case. I don't feel like spending 20$ on 50 of them, so can I buy a sample set of ten of them?

He replied something like:

Yada Yada Yada, samples will be on the website sometime in the next two weeks but you can paypal to me now at yada yada yada...

And I told him I would wait for the sample option. I will post pics right away if the sample option ever shows up on the website. The razor's luck chips look awesome too.

Don't buy anything w/o samples first. 15 grams is really odd. I've never seen a 15 gram chip and doubt these will be decent. Look nice though.

.25 each seems a bit steep for an acrylic chip w metal insert but i've not seen them before. I like the look.

I really like the razor ones
