Default Picking your cards up off the table

The type of guy that is picking up his cards off the table every hand that he sees a flop with.... is this one of the number one signs of a really bad player? Over my time at Foxwoods, I don't think I have ever seen a player do this who isn't an absolute schmuck.

I am not talking about the pick up then look at them then muck (which lots of good players do), Im talking picking them up, and making raises or calls like that.

Picking your cards up off the felt is a sure sign of an INEXPERIENCED player. Whether they are a schmuck or not remains to be seen. Occasionally an extremely near-sighted person may need to pick up their cards to see them, but this is rare.

I know of a stud player in LA that picks up each of her cards (hole and up) as they are delivered and holds them less than an inch in front of her face. The first time I dealt to her I owndered what she was doing, then I saw her get up with a white cane with a red tip on it.

I've noticed this too and definitely agree with you

Heck, I still haven't figured out how to do that, let alone remembering all of them.
