Default push from the bb?

Was this push ok? I hadnt been pushing a lot. Party 11. button called, SB completed, I pushed.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t100 (6 handed) converter

Hero (t460)
UTG (t675)
MP (t1525)
CO (t890)
Button (t1920)
SB (t2530)

Preflop: Hero is BB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
<font color="#666666">3 folds</font>, Button calls t100, SB completes, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, SB folds.

Final Pot: t300

I don't like it. There is almost no way the button folds for 360 more. And he probably has some junk like Ax or Kx which still has you beat.

I might do this from the SB with just one limper, especially if I'd seen him limp a lot. In this particular case, I'd just check.

I'm always reluctant to push from the BB without a premium hand. A lot of players will call just about any preflop raise after they've put their initial BB in. Take the free flop and go from there.
