probably made a mistake here....or did I?
I have 22 in MP2, in the money with 18 people left out of 130. I have 7600 in chips with the blinds at 300/600. MP1 is all in on the antes with just 22 chips left. I figure I will call the 600 after everyone else folds and go heads up with his overcards and possibly flop a set vs. bb. The other shortstack, who is on the button, goes all in for a total of 2500. I figure I'm calling 1900 to win 6500, so I have to call. I do. Board runs out of KQJQ3 and he flips up AK and the shorter all in flips up Q5 to take down the pot. Railbird commented that it's a huge mistake to have called with 22 in that sitaution and lost 2.5k of my 7.6k stack.
Did I misplay this? Should I have just mucked it? The shortstack who had 22 chips ended up winning five all ins in a row to build it up to 6k and I was out with AQ vs. AK just a few hands later. |

Re: probably made a mistake here....or did I?
I'm folding this initially. Your position is too early to limp. With a better hand I would make an isolation raise but I really hate 22 here. I understand a coinflip looks nice with all the dead money but when you factor in the odds of someone waking up behind you it is probably better to fold. Once it is 1900 more I suppose you have to call but I expect to see a big hand.
