How does one get into the PPT?

Is it like the PGA where you need a card to play on the tour? Or is it just like WPT where you can walk on and play?

There are certain requirements and they only let select players in.I wanted to answer sarcastically because i had a really cool sarcastic answer for this, but I won't.

The qualifications for the PPT seem to be pretty loose, at least exemptions wise. According to Richard Brodie's "Lion Tales" blog, the Bellagio used most of their exemptions to put management types into the tournament.
