Sorry if this has already been asked, but I didn't have much luck using the search feature.
How would you describe the difference between Party 5/10 and 15/30. I've heard some players say that 15/30 is easier. If someone is beating the 5/10 games at a good clip (say 3BB/100 hands), do you think they would have an easy time beating the 15/30 games (assuming they make the adjustment for the different blind structure)? I have noticed that general questions like this don't get many responses, but I would like your opinion. Thanks.... |

i dont know about about 5-10 being harder....but the 10 20 imo is a tougher game than 15-30 on party.

personal experience and pot averages on the 10/20 relative to the pot averages on 15/30.

It's just not true. The 15/30 is tougher than the 10/20. The pot averages are higher because of increased aggression and the larger small blind.

The 5/10 is generally more of a weak/tight game compared to the 15/30. The biggest difference is that a lot of the 15/30 LAG's are fairly good hand readers, which makes them more difficult to play against. |

In party 5-10 there are a lot of situations that go like this. You raise pf w/ AK, you get 2-3 callers. You whiff completely but bet the flop and get 1-2 callers. Then you check through on the turn and river and ur AK takes a good pot unimproved. In the 15-30 this NEVER happens. The "fish" are always putting pressure on you, especially w/ flops that don't figure to hit a tight preflop raiser. The pots are proportionately larger, but at the same time are proportionately much harder to win

I didn't play a ton of 5/10, but it seemed that the occasionaly LAG that you'd find there would just be total morons. Also, a lot of the tighter players in 5/10 are weak, and much more straight-foward. 15/30 has tons of VERY tough multitabling TAGs. |

Others here have summed it up well. I mix in 5-10 games with my 15-30 on party. The 5 games are tighter, but the 15 games are much harder.
That being said, you might as well take a shot if you have the BR and you're beating 5-10 for 3/100 |
